New Tropical Storm Heading to Nicaragua

Less than a week after Nicaragua and Central America were hit by tropical storms that caused flooding, washed out roads and bridges there is a new tropical storm forming.  Tropical Storm Rina is off the shores of the Nicaragua and Honduras in the Caribbean and could make landfall by the end of the week.  The US National Hurricane Center says Rina could become a hurricane within 48 hours.

If Rina does hit landfall as hurricane it would hinder the recovery efforts from the rain storm of a week ago.  This would only add to the flooding and damaged roads.  That’s not even mentioning all those whose homes and livelihood would be affected.
